CUSTOMS Department grants daily permission for importation processes of COVID-19 protective equipment and medical products through airports, harbours and land borders during the current public holidays, officials said.
On 23 July (yesterday), the Customs Department issued import process permissions for 66 companies at Yangon International Airport and 45 companies at other border checkpoints.
The department has already issued import permissions for 2,689 oxygen concentrators, 9,198 oximeters, five oxygen regulators, 12,350 test kits, 2,640 items of KIT, XPRESS, SARS-COV-2,10 TEST, 150 sets of flow meters, 150 gas outlets, 10,000 gloves, 200 cannulae, 2,000 KN95 masks and 50 oxygen filters at the Yangon International Airport.
Next, 73,397 kg of masks and surgical gloves, 15395.5 cubic metres and 19.44 tonnes of liquid oxygen, 3,875 sets of oxygen concentrators were also given permits at land border crossings of Muse, Chinshwehaw, Myawady and Tachilek, respectively.
