TATMADAW and its donors have donated oxygen cylinders to Tatmadaw hospitals, public hospitals, clinics and Covid-19 centres in various regions and states in order to help meet the oxygen needs of the Covid-19 laboratory-confirmed patients, Tatmadaw officials said.
Yesterday, Tatmadaw officials from Nay Pyi Taw Command donated 51 sets of 40-litre oxygen containers to Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (300-beds), Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, 15 sets of 40-litre oxygen cylinders to Mya Wai Thaw Latt Charitable Association in Nay Pyi Taw, and ten sets of 40-litre oxygen cylinders to Doe Leway Charitable Association.
Five oxygen containers to Maungtaw People’s Hospital and five oxygen containers to Buthidaung People’s Hospital in Rakhine State were also donated by officials from the Western Command.
U Maung Maung Lin, Chairman of the Sagaing Region Administrative Council, donated 64 oxygen containers to Monywa People’s Hospital and 50 oxygen cylinders to Sagaing People’s Hospital in Sagaing Region.
Twenty oxygen cylinders were also donated to Moe Nyo People’s Hospital and 40 oxygen cylinders to Letpadan People’s Hospital in Bago Region, respectively, by officials from the Southern Command.
It is reported that the Ministry of Health and Sports is having a greater number of oxygen plants in each region and state to reduce the need for oxygen, and the Tatmadaw is also installing oxygen plants in various areas of the Regional Military Headquarters.
