THE  rioters  attacked  the  security  forces  convoy  in  Mindat  Township  of  Chin  State yesterday. One security member reportedly killed, three injured and one vehicle damaged.

The combined team comprising security forces led by the head of Mindat police conducted  patrol  between  Mindat  and  Pakokku  townships  at  about  2:50  pm.  When  the  vehicle  convoy  arrived  near  the golf course in Ashe Pyin Ward  of  Mindat  township  at  about 3:30 pm, the terrorists attacked  the  convoy  with  guns,  including  percussion  lock firearms.

The security fought back and  moved  back  to  Mindat.  On  the  way,  the  terrorists  blocked  the  way  in  front  of  the  Ashe  Pyin  Ward  administration office. The security forces arrived back in Mindat at 4:40 pm.

During  this  attack,  one  security  member  was  killed  while  three  injured  and  one  vehicle damaged.
