REPORTS emerged that security forces in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, allegedly burned down two entire villages on 30 October, detained over 30 residents from Aipaung Chaung village, and bombed a Christian church in Monhla village using drones.

These claims were disseminated by malicious news media, reportedly aiming to incite unrest with fabricated stories.

According to statements from relevant security officials, these reports are entirely unfounded. Officials confirmed that security forces had not conducted any operations in the vicinity of these villages on the mentioned date. Malicious news media are circulating these false stories on social media, aiming to distort public perception and spread misinformation.
