ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Ambassador to Kuwait U Chan Aye attended an ambassadorial-level meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) on 27 October. The meeting was led by Mr Ekapol Poolpipat, Thailand’s Ambassador to Kuwait, and included Ambassadors and Heads of Mission from other ASEAN Embassies in Kuwait.

Following the meeting, the Ambassador of Thailand hosted an informal luncheon in honour of Nasser Raden Thaamer Al-Motairi, Secretary-General of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), who joined as a special guest of the ACK.

The meeting covered future initiatives to enhance ASEAN’s role and ACK’s engagements in Kuwait. Attendees also discussed recent regional events, including the outcomes of the third Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit in Qatar and the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits in Laos, while exchanging views on both regional and international developments.
