A combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a Mitsubishi Canter driven by Saw Tha Htoo, accompanied by Saw Naing, near Nantsiaung Village in Panglong Village-tract, Mohnyin Township, at 6 pm on 21 April. The police seized 43.5 kilogrammes of opium extract worth K60.9 million and 35 kilogrammes of raw opium valued at K42 million.

THE Mandalay earthquake that occurred on 28 March destroyed 6,730 mobile communication stations, and maintenance works were conducted. As of 22 April, 6,457 stations have restored their communication services, and only 273 stations remain to be repaired across the nation – 88 MPT stations, 115 ATOM stations, 49 Ooredoo stations and 21 Mytel stations.
