Taninthayi Region earned US$303.63 million from exporting 285,315 tonnes of fish, prawns, shrimp, and other marine products in the 2024-2025 financial year, and income from marine exports is expected to rise this year, according to the Taninthayi Region Fisheries Federation.

The Tatmadaw (Navy) delegation led by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win paid a goodwill visit to the People’s Republic of China on 14 September at the invitation of Deputy Commander of the PLA Navy Vice Admiral Cui Yuzhong with the aim of enhancing friendship and cooperation between the Myanmar Tatmadaw (Navy) and the China’s People’s Liberation Army (Navy) and arrived back in Yangon by air on the evening of 20 September.
