President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by officials and the chief ministers of Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay regions, inspected regional development and economic promotion projects in Magway Region yesterday.

Myanmar, possessing favourable natural conditions and a strong foundation for successfully cultivating and producing cotton, can inevitably be developed into a cotton-exporting country, said President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing at the seminar titled “From Cotton Cultivation towards Textile Industry” at the city hall in Magway, Magway Region, yesterday morning.

President U Min Aung Hlaing yesterday morning launched the Myanmar 2026 national monsoon tree-planting campaign in Minbu Township, Minbu District, Magway Region, where he planted a neem sapling and urged nationwide efforts to expand forest cover and combat climate change.

Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing met local officials, community leaders and departmental representatives in Minbu Township, Magway Region, yesterday afternoon, emphasizing the importance of education, agricultural development, infrastructure improvement and environmental conservation as key pillars to regional and national progress.

The national-level monsoon tree-growing ceremony 2026 took place in Block 2 of the Maymyo firewood reserve in PyinOoLwin Township yesterday morning, attended by President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing, who planted a Jacaranda sapling.

As cotton cultivation and production are beneficial for the country, the relevant ministries, cotton growers, and officials have to strive to achieve the target per-acre yield, said President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing at the seminar titled “From Cotton Cultivation towards Textile Industry” held at the city hall in Magway yesterday morning.

President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing made an inspection tour of PyinOoLwin yesterday morning to examine development undertakings and socioeconomic projects.

Upgrading the Anisakhan Airport is one of the important infrastructure projects of the State during the implementation of the first 100-day plan of the new government, said President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Min Aung Hlaing at the ceremony to commission the Anisakhan Airport into service in PyinOoLwin yesterday morning.

The major development projects aimed at strengthening the State economy should be assessed from four perspectives — political, administrative, defence and economic — and that both the advantages and potential drawbacks of such projects should be fully understood, said President U Min Aung Hlaing.
