Rare bird species, including Himalayan vulture, spotted in Kyetmauktaung Dam area

The world’s rare bird species such as migratory water birds, forest birds and Himalayan vulture or Himalayan griffon vultures are residing in Kyetmauktaung dam and watershed area in Kyaukpadaung Township of NyaungU District, Mandalay Region, according to Nature and Wildlife Conservation Division of Mount Popa National Geopark.

Tatmadaw vessels return after providing healthcare along Ayeyawady

Two Tatmadaw vessels: the Shwe Puzun and Saku, which had been providing healthcare services to local communities along the Ayeyawady River from 15 to 30 January returned to Yangon yesterday morning. The vessels, part of the Tatmadaw’s floating medical teams, were staffed by doctors, nurses and medical professionals from the Tatmadaw Mobile Health Teams.
