The graduation ceremony of the BA and BSc Degree Course 21, the AGTI Diploma Course 22, and the job appointment letter handover ceremony of Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon) took place yesterday at the convocation hall of the Degree College in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region.

Speaking at the event, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae said the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College (Yangon and Sagaing) was established to enable youths from border areas to participate in promoting stability, regional, and socioeconomic development in border areas as reliable government staff.

To date, the degree college in Yangon has produced a total of 3,536 degree holders: 729 arts degrees, 1,559 science degrees, and 1,248 AGTI diplomas.

He then urged graduates to cooperate in implementing the State development and defence sector with the right moral, opinion, stance and spirit together with the people, understanding the goodwill of the government.

The Union minister and the party presented awards to the outstanding graduates and job appointment letters to the graduates.

At noon, the Union minister met with the principal, vice-principal, professor and department heads, and heard the report made by the principal.

The Union minister and party then observed the teaching session, the construction of the sports stadium and basic military training.

The Union minister and party then went to the Central Training School in Dagon Myothit (North) Township and inspected the compound, and presented cash prizes to the staff.

On arrival at the Dagon Myothit District Development Supervisory Office, the head of the office reported on the regional development activities, use of machinery and the storage of supplies.

The Union minister attended the dinner in the evening, watched entertainment programmes of students and presented cash prizes and a flower basket to the students.
