The government has been actively working to repatriate Myanmar nationals facing hardships overseas. By collaborating closely with the Myanmar consulate-general and relevant foreign embassies, authorities are striving to ensure the safe return of citizens who are encountering difficulties abroad. The Myanmar Embassy in Cairo communicated with the authorities of the Kurdistan Regional Government by sending diplomatic letters and cooperating with the SEED Organization to repatriate Chin national Lal Lawm Tluangi and Rakhine national Ma Sandi Lin, who faced difficulties in Erbil of Iraq with all due speed. They got exit permits and arrived back in Yangon at 11:30 am on 14 September on the Erbil-Istanbul-Bangkok-Yangon flight.
