The Union Election Commission made arrangements in accordance with provisions of the law to enable advance voting so that eligible voters, both in and outside the country, would not lose their right to vote, which is a fundamental right of every citizen, in the Multiparty Democratic General Election that started on 28 December 2025.

The government of Myanmar manages the combined team comprising security forces, administrative bodies and local authorities to raid illegal buildings in Shwe Kokko and KK Park areas where telecom fraud and online gambling activities are operated, and systematically dismantle the confiscated materials and illegal buildings used in the online scams and gambling activities. Yesterday, the combined team dissolved 11 more illegal buildings: one four-storey building and 10 two-storey buildings used in telecom fraud and online gambling activities in the Myawady-Maethawtalay (KK Park) area. Therefore, a total updated number of 549 buildings out of 635 illegal buildings have been demolished in the KK Park area.

A New Year signifies leaving the old behind and moving forward toward renewal. At this New Year moment, the State is moving forward by holding a major election that carefully implements the democratic system. The people themselves are actively participating with awareness and casting their votes to obtain democratically legitimate representatives for the country. No matter what anyone says, the majority of the public can see the truth clearly. Having come to understand who is constructive and who is destructive, a new democratic State will emerge. In other words, a people’s democratic government chosen and implemented by the people themselves will come to power and work to advance the country.
