ACTING on a tip-off, Mandalay Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force impounded 12 kinds of goods worth K197,761,234 including 12,091 kilogrammes of PVC reflective stickers, 945 sets of printer spare part OPC drum and 50 Dell Core i5 laptops that exceeded the Import Declaration (ID) from a Nissan diesel tractor head, a Mitsubishi Fuso tractor head and two trailers (approximate value of K155 million) heading to Mandalay from Muse at 23/6 Milepost on Mandalay-Lashio Road on 13 July. Measures are underway for action under Customs procedures.

WITH the approval of the Steering Committee on National-level Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Industries, a total of 40 electric vehicles ( including 20 Neta U models and 20 Seres 3 models) imported by Grand Sirius Co Ltd and Asia Pacific Automaker Corporation Co Ltd arrived at Yangon Port. They were allowed to be claimed following Customs procedures on 17 July. The import of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is exempted from Customs duties.

They found a Toyota Mark II worth K3 million without licence and the action was taken under the Export and Import Law.
