ACCORDING to the Myanmar Food and Drug Administration (FDA), manufacturers of branded bottled drinking water and edible oils must obtain approval from the FDA. This approval is necessary before applying for a license. The directive was issued by the Myanmar Food and Drug Administration on 4 March under Section 38, Sub-section (b) of the National Food and Beverage Law.

ACCORDING to U Soe Hla, chairman of the pagoda board of trustees, there have been nearly 5,000 pilgrims visiting the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda in Kyaikto Township of Mon State daily in March. Pilgrims from across the country flock to the pagoda every day, with approximately 250 buses providing transportation up and down the hill. Additionally, lodges, guesthouses, public rest houses, and hotels are open to accommodate the pilgrims.
