In commemoration of the 79th Armed Forces Day, a ceremony was held at the Memorial to the Fallen Heroes in Nay Pyi Taw. State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing attended and laid flower baskets in tribute.

CHAIRMAN of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered an address at the 79th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day parade at Nay Pyi Taw Parade Ground yesterday evening. On the agenda, the Anawrahta Column, led by column commander Brig-Gen San Yu Naing; Kyansittha Column, led by Brig-Gen Zaw Myint Oo; Bayintnaung Column, led by Commodore Tin Maung Than; Aung Zeya Column, led by BrigGen Ye Yint Win; Hsinbyushin Column, led by Brig-Gen Myo Min Tun; Bandoola Column, led by Brig-Gen Zaw Hein Kyaing; Aung San Column, led by Police Brig-Gen Zaw Lin Tun; and all columns led by Parade Commander Maj-Gen Thein Zaw marched into the parade ground.

ANOTHER ATR 72-600 aircraft was added to the Myanmar Airways International (MAI) fleet on 24 March, marking a significant step in the airline’s domestic travel expansion strategy. Officials from the Department of Civil Aviation and MAI were present at the inauguration ceremony.
