MALICIOUS media outlets intentionally spread fake news, claiming that an armed engagement broke out between the security forces and terrorists near Kyauktankalay village of Pyinkadogon village-tract in Kyaikto township of Mon State on 23 July. Six died, and 12 were injured after the explosion of heavy weapons launched by security forces. Moreover, these media accused the security forces of detaining five civilians in Peinnegon village.
