AS plans are underway to send workers overseas, there are 314 overseas employment agencies and 114 (Thai) licensed agencies until 1 February 2021. From 1 February 2021 to 14 July 2022, 29 overseas employment agency licences and 28 (Thai) licences, a total of 57 were issued. Currently, there are 343 agencies in operation.

Similarly, the Overseas Worker Identification Card (OWIC) has been issued at the Pinlon Training School in North Dagon Township, daily from Monday to Saturday, to 800 people for Thailand, 200 people for other countries, and 100 for own arrangements, a total of 1,100 people have been granted, Union Minister U Myint Kyaing said at the Executive Committee Election Ceremony of the Myanmar Overseas Employment Agencies Federation, held at the Novotel Yangon Max Hotel in Yangon yesterday. For workers who are going to work abroad either by their own plan or through licensed foreign employment agencies, foreign guidance courses are being held at skill training institutes (Yangon and Mandalay) from 1 June, three times a week, about 500 people at a time in Yangon, and about 700 people in Mandalay.
