ACCORDING to a statement from the Myanmar Police Force, a fire broke out in Industrial Zone 1 in Hlinethaya Township, and firefighters were able to put out the fire yesterday afternoon.

According to the statement, security forces and firefighters extinguished the fire in a two-storey steel structure building of Winco Bag Industrial Co., Ltd Factory in Block 81 on U Tun Nyo Street in Industrial Zone (1) Hlinethaya Township, Yangon Region. They managed to prevent the fire from spreading to residential buildings and other factories near the building.

The fire is believed to be arson. A total of 7 fire trucks, 30 firefighters and ten reserved firefighters completely put the fire out until 5:40 pm yesterday.
