FOR the multiparty democratic general election to be held starting from 28 December 2025, political parties and independent parliamentary candidates submitted their nominations to the respective commissions and subcommittees between 8 September 2025 and 22 September 2025. A total of 4,963 parliamentary candidates, including nominees from 57 political parties and independents, have been registered.

Among them, six political parties are contesting nationwide, 51 political parties contesting within a single Region or State, and independent parliamentary candidates, as detailed below.

It has been announced that the scrutiny of submitted candidate nomination lists is being conducted by the respective authorities at the relevant levels, where the nominations were filed, from 23 September to 4 October 2025.
