The Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025 aiming to provide youths with fundamental knowledge of international affairs, geopolitics and national strategies, to enhance their leadership, critical thinking and communication skills, to promote cooperation, constructive dialogue and civic engagement through interactive discussions, to strengthen ability to table promising pathways for the development of Myanmar, and to establish an active youth network that can contribute to national and regional level initiatives in the future took place at the MCC in Yangon yesterday.

It was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, vice-chairman of the Leading Committee for Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025, Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet, other relevant officials, and students.

During the forum, the students from regions and states participated in energizer quiz under the topic of “My dream for Myanmar”.

Indian strategic analyst Mr Atul Aneja discussed under the topic of Changing World and Myanmar-Geopolitics regarding democratic ideology, policies, concepts from the End of History and the Last Man of Francis Fukuyama, World State and other matters.

Students then raised questions regarding the benefits to be received by the country from the changing of multipolar political issues, new cooperation patterns of Myanmar, Russia, China and India, the need for a country with its own sovereignty and other politically related matters.

Mr Atul then discussed “Myanmar, Geopolitics and Multipolar World” regarding the advantages of the civilization of India and China, Myanmar’s democratic transition, conditions to hold multiparty democratic general election, impacts on election within the global political changes, invitation for international observers to the election, and economic-related matters.

The students asked questions regarding the chances as the country lies in a geo-strategic position, prioritized businesses, development measures led by the youths, enhancement of the connection between the students of Myanmar and regional countries and so on.

The Yangon Region chief minister presented gifts to Indian strategic analyst Mr Atul Aneja, Associate Professor of SUPDI Mr Lorenzo Maria Pacini and Director of Anteo Edizioni Publishing House, Italy, Mr Stenfano Bonilauri.

The groups discussed different topics, and one youth representative of each group compiled the discussions.

The region’s social affairs minister, who is also the Yangon Region Youth Affairs Committee vice-chairperson, made a concluding remark.

The chairman of Myanmar Narrative Think Tank reported the summary, and officials presented awards to the young groups. A statement will be released on 1 September.
