Acting on a tip-off that wanted fugitives from Thailand were renting accommodation on Daw Nang Kaw’s compound in Hweinamlin Village, Zone 2, Pongtong Ward, Tachilek Township, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search at 4:30 pm on 2 June. As a result, two wanted fugitives from Thailand, Mr Phanatsak Riabpuang and Miss Wanida Jakkeaw, were arrested with 11,000 methamphetamine tablets.

Both individuals have been charged under the law, and the Myanmar Police Force reports that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend others involved in this criminal network.
