UNDER the guidance of the National Disaster Man­agement Committee and management of the Work Committee on Transport and Communications, re­habilitation materials are being sent to Rakhine State by air, water and land.

MV Royal Venus, car­rying 2,455 tonnes of food­stuffs, edible oil, medical supplies and equipment, construction materials and five small vehicles donated by the Ministry of Trans­port and Communications, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, left the Myanmar Terminal (TMT) for Sittway yester­day evening.

From 16 May 2023 to date, 42 vessels, including military vessels, delivered a total of 64,676 tonnes of relief materials, including construction equipment, electrical equipment, medi­cine and health equipment, consumer goods and food, and 249,762 gallons of die­sel, 199,886 gallons of 92 Oc­tane have been delivered to Sittway, Rakhine State.
