MALICIOUS Khit Thit Media is circulating false information on social media platforms, claiming that Tatmadaw is using chemical fumes in attacks on residential wards in Yanbye, Rakhine State.

Tatmadaw engaged with AA insurgents with supporting fire of heavy weapon and airstrikes, resulting in heavy casualties. The insurgents, feeling defeated, spread misinformation through the malicious media to deflect from their defeat, falsely accusing the Tatmadaw of using chemical fumes. Tatmadaw has repeatedly stated that it never employs poison gas in any clashes.

Similarly, the subversive media outlet Khit Thit spread fake news alleging that four civilians died and seven were wounded due to heavy weapons fired by Tatmadaw in MraukU Township, Rakhine State, on 27 January.

In reality, AA insurgents committed a drone attack, dropping bombs on residential houses in MraukU on 27 January, resulting in explosions and fires that left casualties.

Therefore, the malicious news outlet Khit Thit spreads misinformation and fake news daily on social media platforms, intentionally causing misunderstanding between Tatmadaw and the people.
