A coordination meeting was held yesterday afternoon at the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) to discuss earthquake emergency response efforts in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

The meeting saw MRCS President Professor Dr Myo Nyunt, Vice-President Dr Daw Tin Tin Lay, executive members, the deputy secretary-general, and other officials. Also present were Mr Arnaud de Baecque, Head of the Myanmar Delegation of the ICRC, Ms Nadia Khoury, Head of Delegation of the IFRC and other representatives.

During the meeting, partic ipants reviewed ongoing search and rescue operations in areas affected by the earthquake and discussed detailed plans for continued joint response efforts.
