Myanmar received the invitation from Cambodia, the current Chair of ASEAN, to the non-political representative from Myanmar to attend the 55th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and related Meetings from 31 July 2022 to 6 August 2022 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Myanmar didn’t participate in the 55th AMM and related meetings as it is obviously contradictory to the Article 5 of the ASEAN Charter on “Rights and Obligations”.

A 33-YEAR-OLD female elephant called Zar Nan Hla kept by the Myanma Timber Enterprise in Taungup Township of Rakhine State has given birth to one white male elephant at 6:30 am on 23 July 2022. The baby elephant is two feet and five inches in height, three feet and one inch in girth, two feet in back length and has one foot and six inches long tail with its birth weight of about 180 pounds.
