AN explosion occurred at the third floor of a tax office of the Internal Revenue Department (IRD) office on Pansodan Road in Kyauktada Township, Yangon Region at 12:05 pm on 5 June. During the explosion, five staff and one civilian were injured. Security Forces conducted the investigation and raided Room B, second floor of Apartment 27 on Ohnbin Street and Bo Thura Street in Kyimyindine Township to arrest the suspect on the morning of 7 June following the tip-off. The suspect was at large and Security Forces seized four homemade grenades, one homemade bomb, a shirt and a longyi. According to the report of a real estate broker, the suspect rented an apartment at K250,000 per month from April to July 2023. Security Forces arrested Aung Myin Thu (aka) Aung Hlaing Win at Myaynigon southern ward of Sanchaung Township on the evening of 8 June. According to his confession, the suspects of the remote-mine explosion at IRD office Aung Myint Myat (aka) Pyae Phyo Aung (aka) Mood and Dhana Naung Win (aka) Shine Htet Ko Ko (aka) Roke in Mayangon Township on the same day.
