IN a bid to portray Myanmar’s cultural heritage, rediscover the traditional costume of men and women from generation to generation and draw the attention of the youth, Myanmar Post under the Ministry of Transport and Communications will issue two new postage stamps (worth K200 each) at 9:30 am on 8 December 2021 (5th Waxing of Nadaw 1383 ME), depicting the costumes of men and women in Inwa era. The new series will be sold at Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw, General Post office in Yangon and other post offices in each region and state. To mark a special event, the postage stamps which will be purchased at Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw and General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay on 8 December will have date marking.
