A ceremony to welcome the Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft from the stateowned Myanmar National Airlines, was held at Yangon International Airport yesterday. The cargo plane (Aircraft No 9M-POS and Flight No 3G087) departed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and arrived at Yangon International Airport at 2 pm.

A combined team led by the District Forest Department under the supervision of Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force made inspections on 12 September and captured a total of 6.022 tonnes of illegal teak and 1.178 tonnes of other illegal timbers worth K2,316,070 in Lewe and Ottarathiri districts. The action was taken under the Forest Law.
