The government, in collaboration with international organizations, including neighbouring countries, has been actively investigating and eradicating telecom fraud and other criminal activities. Foreign nationals involved in such activities have been systematically repatriated to their respective countries. In Kayin State, specifically in the areas of Myawady-Shwekokko, Maetawthalay, and KK Park, 283 foreign nationals who were involved in online gambling and online fraud have been repatriated to their home countries. Additionally, 357 other foreign nationals have been further investigated and detained.
