UNION Minister of the Ministry of Electric Power and of the Ministry of Energy U Thaung Han received Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they discussed the cross-border power lines to develop electricity and energy sectors of Myanmar, hydropower projects, gas-fired and thermal power plant projects and further cooperation works in oil and natural gas industries.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Electric Power Dr Aung Zeya, Deputy Minister for Energy U Thant Sin and relevant officials.
