THE Diamond Jubilee Union Day, which will fall on 12 February, will be grandly marked with the events in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and across Myanmar.

Event planning includes erecting Union Day promoting billboards in Nay Pyi Taw, erecting the flags of the regions and states across Yazathingaha Road which is a flag-relay route, installing colour lights at the roundabouts on that route and decorating with ethnic people pictures. Preparations are being undertaken to mark the Diamond Anniversary Union Day in the regions and states as well.

Similar preparations are being made in Yangon City as well as across the nation with installation of the multicoloured lightings at the Yangon City Hall and the Maha Bandoola Park and erection of the billboard bearing “the national objectives of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day”, and the People’s Park in Dagon Township as well.

Multicoloured lightings are decorated at U Wisara Roundabout in Dagon Township, U Htaung Bo Roundabout in Bahan Township and Hanthawady Roundabout in Sangyoung Township with hoisting flags.
