UNION Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe accompanied by Deputy Ministers Dr Zaw Myint and U Zaw Win visited vaccination campaigns at Mingala Byuha Dhamma Beikman building in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area yesterday morning.

During their visit, the Union Minister encouraged 12 years old and above high school students as they were receiving the COVID-19 vaccines.

The Union Minister said that by vaccinating the students, the outbreak of COVID-19 disease could be prevented and vaccinated students will have access to education if the schools reopen in line with the pandemic guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.

“The government is stepping up vaccination for students over the age of 12, including guardians and parents. Teachers are encouraged to work together for the educational opportunities of the students,” the Union Minister said.

Next, the Union Minister expressed words of thanks to all the doctors and nurses from the township public hospital, staff from the Ministry of Health, departmental staff, volunteers, Red Cross members and charities who helped the students get vaccinated.

Then, Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe and officials visited No. (20) Basic Education High School in Pobbathiri Township and greeted the parents of the high school students and encouraged the students while they were getting the vaccination.

After that, the Union Minister inspected the construction of the school stadium inside the high school and ordered necessary matters.
