THE armed terrorist groups attacked the convoy carrying the security members and health workers on their way back after COVID-19 vaccination processes in Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Region on 16 September.

The group led by Dr Nay Moe from Kanbalu Hospital (100-bed) conducted a vaccination process at Sein Pan Monastery in Malel Village of Kanbalu Township on the morning of 16 September and returned with security members in four vehicles at noon from Malel Village to Kanbalu Township. When the vehicles arrived near Yay Aye Village, five remote mines planted by the terrorist groups under scrutiny exploded, and the blast caused damages to Hilux Double Cab.

It was reported that the security members and health workers were not injured. Local military columns and police members conduct operations to arrest the suspects.
