UNION Election Commission Chairman U Than Soe, along with Union Election Commission Member (in charge of Union Territory) U Myo Hlaing, officials from the Union Election Commission Office, the Union Territory election subcommission chairman and members, and other officials, inspected the opening and operation of polling stations in the Union Territory yesterday morning to ensure the successful conduct of the 2025 multiparty democratic general election.

The Chairman of the UEC and his team inspected the opening of polling stations in Pobbathiri, Pyinmana, and Zabuthiri Townships, where polling station officials explained the preparations made to ensure the successful conduct of the election.

The UEC Chairman then instructed that voters be able to vote smoothly at polling stations, that any emergency situations arising from the use of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) be addressed systematically in accordance with the rules and directives, that there be no shortages at polling stations, and that efforts be made to ensure the successful conduct of the election, before coordinating the necessary arrangements.
