The ceremony to welcome the returning members of the Tatmadaw from the frontiers, who fought bravely on the front lines and achieved victories, was held yesterday morning at the local battalion. It was attended by Lt-Gen Nyunt Win Swe of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, departmental officials, local ethnic communities, teachers, students, traditional cultural groups, and the family members of Tatmadaw officers and other ranks, who greeted the returning soldiers with a grand welcome, adorned them with flower garlands, and celebrated with traditional dances.
Afterwards, a meeting to honour the returning members of the Tatmadaw was held at the hall of the local battalion in Hpa-an, where Lt-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo delivered a tribute and presented awards to the soldiers.
