Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung met the Russian Federation’s Novosibirsk Governor Mr Andrey Travnikov and his delegation at the Mandalay Region Government Office meeting hall yesterday.

During the meeting, they held open discussions on cooperation in social, economic, education, health, tourism and trade sectors, the memorandum of understanding signed for establishing sister-city relations between Mandalay and Novosibirsk, arrangements for economic cooperation between the two cities from 2026 to 2028, and further collaboration to strengthen friendly ties between the two countries. Both sides also exchanged commemorative gifts.

After the meeting, the Chief Minister and Commander of the Central Command hosted a lunch for the delegation at IBIS Styles Hotel in Chanmyathazi Township.
