THE Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) and the Myanmar Blue Sky Rescue Development Council jointly donated 300 solar lanterns for the earthquake-affected people and relief aid worth K50,100 for each family.
Yesterday morning, the Mandalay Region government allocated solar lanterns to 500 earthquake-affected families of service personnel and relief aid to 1,500 families from Aungmyaythazan Township at the ceremony held at Kyintawyan Buddhist Temple on Strand Road in Chanayethazan Township.
Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung delivered a speech while Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) U Tin Oo and Mandalay Branch Association Chair U Kyaw Min explained bilateral friendship, participation in development sector, and cooperation in relief efforts in the post-earthquake period and handed over the donated items for 500 staff families to the Region Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister and regional ministers, and officials from the association also presented donated items to quake-affected people from Aungmyaythazan and Mahaaungmyay townships.
The ceremony was also attended by officials from the Mandalay-based Consulate-General of China, local authorities, officials from Myanmar Blue Sky Rescue Development Council and guests.
On 11 October, the Region Chief Minister inspected the MEVM and related accessories to be used at the 2025 multiparty democratic general election in Mandalay Region.
He watched the final match between Mann Aung Swe Lin club and New Generation Club in the invitational men’s open volleyball tournament at Mann Aung Swe Lin Volleyball Club in Aungmyaythazan Township and presented prizes to the winning teams including Champion Mann Aung Swe Lin Club.
