Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the Russian Federation during his working visit, received Mr Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, at the Radisson Collection Hotel yesterday afternoon.
They openly discussed arrangements being made to hold a free and fair multiparty democratic general election in Myanmar soon, a plan underway to transfer the State duties in accord with the democratic standard upon completion of the election, recognition and support of the international community including the Russian Federation for the election to be held in Myanmar, and situations to implement the roadmaps on economic cooperation step by step to ensure the development of the common interests both countries and people.
After the meeting, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar exchanged commemorative gifts with the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, the Honorary Consul-General and the Director-General of RC Investment Fund.
Also, present at the meeting were the Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission Member and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn, and officials. The Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation was accompanied by Honorary Consul-General and Director-General of RC Investment Fund, Mr Sergey Shatirov, and officials.
