A ceremony to honour the offspring of service personnel from the Ministry of National Planning who passed the matriculation examination in the 2024- 25 academic year, outstanding award-winning students and outstanding staff in training courses took place in conjunction with the stipend-providing ceremony for 2025-26 AY at the hall of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
In his speech, Prime Minister U Nyo Saw said that as today’s youth will shoulder the State duties in the future, it is important for them to acquire a broader scope of knowledge and achieve mental and intellectual development.
He continued that he honoured the staff who secured outstanding awards in the trainees conducted by the State. A developed country must be built on the strength of outstanding youth. Hence, youth need to strive for the development of the digital economic building of the State through their experiences and knowledge based on research.
He urged all to analyze fake news and misinformation through their wisdom, knowledge and experiences, not to fade out Myanmar’s traditional culture and customs, as social networks and media are booming day by day. Moreover, the Prime Minister stressed that youth have to avoid narcotic drugs while taking physical exercises to ensure better health and fitness.
The Prime Minister and his wife presented individual medals, certificates and cash awards to three five-distinction winners and four four-distinction winners in addition to six three-distinction winners.
The deputy minister and officials handed individual medals, certificates and cash awards to outstanding award-winning students, the triple outstanding award-winning student and outstanding staff, respectively.
The Prime Minister treated the outstanding students, parents and staff with a tea party. Also present at the ceremony were directors-general, deputy directors-general and guests.
