THE 19th Ho Chi Minh Inter­national Travel Expo was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 4 to 6 September 2025 under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. A My­anmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe and Vice May­or of Yangon City Development Committee U Nyi Nyi attended the expo.

On 3 September, a gala din­ner and Vietnam Night were held at the Thiskyhall Sala Conven­tion Centre under the theme The Flow of Quintessence. Attendees included Mr Nguyen Va Nen, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr Mai Van Dhinh, Deputy Prime Minister of Viet­nam, ministers, deputy ministers and officials from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, the Cambodian Minis­ter of Tourism, the Deputy Sec­retary of the Party Committee of Vientiane, the Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism of Myan­mar, the Vice Mayor of Yangon, the Mayor of Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, officials from the Bureau of Conventions and Exhibitions of St Petersburg, officials from member cities of the Tourism Promotion Organ­ization (TPO), and representa­tives from the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

The opening ceremony of the 19th Ho Chi Minh Interna­tional Travel Expo was held on 4 September at the Saigon Exhibi­tion Convention Centre (SECC) Exhibition Hall, followed by the Tourism Promotion Organiza­tion (TPO) General Assembly High-Level Tourism Forum, with the Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe in attendance.

After the forum, the Deputy Minister met with the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thai­land (TAT) to discuss potential cooperation in promoting bilat­eral tourism.

In the afternoon, the Deputy Minister visited the Myanmar exhibition booths at the expo, where Myanmar’s tourism desti­nations and travel packages were showcased, and coordinated necessary support for ongoing promotional activities.

The Ho Chi Minh Interna­tional Travel Expo is aimed at raising awareness among do­mestic and international media, tourism-related businesses, and global travellers. This year’s expo featured more than 520 booths from national tourism organizations, airlines, hotels, and technology companies rep­resenting 30 countries.

On the morning of 5 Sep­tember, the Myanmar delega­tion attended tourism business meetings before returning to Yangon by air in the evening.
