Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, accompanied by Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, enjoyed the entertainment programmes performed by the artistes for the Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force members of Kayah State yesterday, and presented cash prizes to the Tatmadaw and police members.
In his greeting speech, the Union minister briefed the entertainment programmes of artistes, and highlighted the sacrifices of Tatmadaw and police members to regain state stability, whereas the management and reconstruction processes of the state government improved the figure of Loikaw.
Famous artistes sang songs, and Tatmadaw and police members enjoyed themselves happily.
The Union minister, officials and artistes arrived at Taunggyi on the same afternoon.
At the City Hall of Taunggyi, the artistes hosted the entertainment programmes. During the event, the ethnic literature and culture associations also performed Shan and Pa-O dances. The Union minister then presented cash prizes to the artistes.
The Union minister and relevant officials donated 80 MRTV DTH receivers, 10 T-2 boxes, and 100 Canal+ DTH receivers.
They also drew lots for the attendees and handed over an MRTV DTH receiver and an MRTV T-2 set-top box to each of the winners, respectively. The ceremony came to an end with the lively performances of the artistes and participants.
