The signing ceremony of the Agreement for Authorizing the Dependents of Members of a Diplomatic Mission or Consular Post to Engage in Gainful Employment between the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of India was held at the Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the ceremony in the presence of Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw, the Agreement was signed by U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and Mr Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India to Myanmar, on behalf of the respective governments.

The ceremony was also attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials from the Embassy of the Republic of India.

The Agreement reflects the shared commitment of Myanmar and India to consolidate their strong relations and longstanding partnership.
