THE opening ceremony of the 2025 Commander-in-Chief (Air)’s Trophy Football Tournament was held yesterday evening at the Flying Training Base Football Stadium in Meiktila, Mandalay Region.

On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief (Air), Flying Training Base Commander Maj-Gen Win Maung Thein attended the event together with senior officers, officers, other ranks, their families, participating teams, invitees and football enthusiasts.

At the ceremony, the Commander delivered an opening speech before watching the opening match between the Hmawby Airbase team and the TadaU Airbase team.

A total of 14 teams from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Air), headquarters and various air bases will compete in the tournament, which will continue until 8 August.
