STATE Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Aung Myaing, embarked on an RBE train journey from Nay Pyi Taw to the Shanywa Railway Station in Pyawbwe of Mandalay Region to inspect the complete demolition of railway station building, new design of railway station and the use of modular office on 20 July.

The Deputy Prime Minister and party arrived at Thazi railway station and oversaw the land areas for new railway station construction and new design, and made proper instructions.

They proceeded to Bridge 691 between Samone and Thabyaytaung railway stations, which was destroyed by erosion last year in Wundwin township, and inspected the waterway maintenance and other measures.

They also looked into the demolition of old affected by the Mandalay earthqauake railway station at Thabyaytaung railway station, land areas, new design and modular office, and inspected the yard and new design for Kyaukse railway station. During the inspection, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need to be clean at the entry and exit of the railway stations and arrange the lounge for the passengers.

In the evening, the Deputy Prime Minister and party arrived at Mandalay railway station, inspected the damaged railway switch cabin and installation of railway switch signal system with modular office, and instructed officials to complete the major maintenance for the original railway switch cabin.

On 21 July, the Deputy Prime Minister and party arrived at Myitnge Carriage and Wagon Factory, and heard the reports made by the general manager of the factory.

They inspected the building of wagons, DEMU, major maintenance of carriages and wagons and production of bogies.

They arrived at the transport division of the Myanma Railways in Chanmyathazi Township and inspected the use of mobile tower stations at the automobile telephone stations by the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications.

They also made inspection tours to the affiliated department of the ministry in Chanmyathazi, Mahaaungmyay, and Pyigyidagun townships, and inspected the maintenance works, use of the modular offices and modular houses for staff and families after the quake.
