TO increase fish populations in rivers, streams, and dams within the Union Territory, preventing the depletion of fish species, ensuring their long-term sustainability in natural waters and lakes, and promoting fish production across the country, the Ministry of Information organized the 2025 Monsoon Fingerling-Releasing Ceremony yesterday evening at the Mingala Lake on the Pyinmana-Taungnyo Road in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and his wife, the permanent secretary, departmental officials, and staff.

During the event, the Union minister and his wife, along with officials and staff, released fingerlings into the Mingala Lake.
