Myanmar C.P Livestock Company officially donated COVID-19 preventive equipment for people living in Rakhine State yesterday morning through the Royal Thai Embassy in Myanmar and the Union Enterprise for Humanitarian Assistance, Resettlement and Development in Rakhine.
300,000 masks and 200 PPEs, worth USD 33,000, were handed over to “We Love Rakhine” group, which will transport the equipment to the Rakhine State. The official online ceremony was participated by UEHRD committee members Dr Aung Tun Thet, Chief Coordinator, U Toe Oung, Advisor to the Chairperson, Information and Communications Director U Kyaw Myaing, Chief Operation Officer U Nyi Nyein Aye, Rakhine State Minister for Finance, Revenue, Planning and Economics U Kyaw Aye Thein, Permanent Secretary Dr Ko Ko Naing (Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement), Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mrs Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Myanmar C.P Livestock Company’s Senior Vice President Mr Prachya Pleanpakdee, UEHRD officials and members of “We Love Rakhine”.
During the ceremony, Mrs Suphatra Srimaitreephithak explained the reason for the donation. Dr Aung Tun Thet expressed thanks to the donor.
It is learnt that “We Love Rakhine” is making arrangements to send the COVID-19 preventive equipment to Rakhine State immediately and that the UEHRD would be providing necessary assistance and support.
