THE representatives of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar and Myanmar-China (Jiangsu) Chamber of Commerce donated eight kinds of relief supplies for consumer goods to support earthquake-affected staff of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations at Office 1, yesterday.
Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw expressed thanks for the donation of essential items such as airconditioners, electric kettles, solar lights, mosquito nets, blankets, straw mats, shower gel and shampoo for the earthquake-affected staff. He also mentioned that the staff still need relief supplies, and China is the largest contributor to Myanmar.
Following this, the Union minister, the director-general, and senior officials received the relief supplies donated by the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar and Myanmar-China (Jiangsu) Chamber of Commerce, and the Union minister presented a certificate of appreciation in return.
Afterwards, the Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers Association donated cash in kind for earthquake-stricken staff members of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in the evening, the Union minister received and expressed his gratitude for the donation and presented a certificate of appreciation.
