THE Lishaw National Party, which seeks to form a political party to compete in general elections, applied for party registration at the Union Election Commission yesterday under Section 3 of the Political Party Registration Law.

To date, 27 political parties have applied for registration under Section 3 of the Political Party Registration Law. Under Section 25 of the same law, 50 political parties have applied for continuation and registration, bringing the total to 77 political parties. The Union Election Commission is currently processing and reviewing the application from the Lishaw National Party.
