MEMBER of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the training camps for matriculation exam students and repair works after the quake in Sagaing Region yesterday.

The Deputy Prime Minister first went to Sagaing University of Education and met with the professors, faculty members and students.

During the meeting, he presented K100 million provided by the government for the students, while the regional chief minister presented K4.7 million for faculty members and deputy education minister gave notebooks for the students.

He then heard the reports made by the officials regarding the teaching processes, administration and assistance.

The Admiral also inspected the kitchen and instructed the officials to ensure healthy food for the students.

He proceeded to SunU Ponnyashin Pagoda and inspected the clearing of debris and presented cash to Tatmadaw members, members of the Myanmar Police Force and Fire Brigade.

He paid homage to Sitagu Sayadaw Bhaddanta NyanisDPM Union Minister inspects matric exam training camps in Sagaing sara and donated cash.

He also met temporarily displaced people in Sagaing Region due to terrorist attacks, and presented K3,847 million of the National Disaster Management Fund for the displaced people to the regional chief minister.

At noon, Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the purified drinking water distribution through the river water pumping project of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and the Myanmar Red Cross Society on the strand road of the Ayeyawady River.

On arrival at Sagaing Bridge, he observed the clearing of debris by Myanmar Economic Corporation and Tatmadaw (Navy), and instructed officials concerned to allow the waterway before monsoon, ensure occupational safety and check the strength of mid-water piles.
