DAW KYU KYU HLA, the wife of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Ms Anna Nesterova, Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance, at the Office of the Federal Council of the Russian Federation yesterday morning.

The Chairwoman of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance warmly welcomed the wife of the Senior General and the party.

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on participation of women from government and business realms in the BRICS Forum to be held soon, running of the branches of BRICS Women’s Business Alliance in global countries and potential for opening its branch depending on Myanmar’s interest, current time to recognize the role of women in the global issues, requirements to encourage women for carrying out their daily social measures in addition to global issues with courage, confidence, diligence, leadership, creation and power, enhancement of women’s entrepreneurship in Myanmar, and further cooperation in education and women’s affairs between Myanmar and Russia.

After the meeting, the wife of the Senior General and the Russian Chairwoman exchanged gifts and posed for documentary photos together with attendees.

Also present at the meeting were Daw Nilar, wife of the SAC Joint Secretary, the wife of the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), Vice-President of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation Daw Khin May Soe, the wife of the Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation and officials. The Chairperson of the Russian Chapter of the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance was accompanied by officials.

In the afternoon, the wife of the Senior General and the party visited the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. Curators conducted them round the gallery and replied to questions raised by the wife of the Senior General.

The State Tretyakov Gallery is one of the most prominent and world-renowned exhibition halls showcasing Russia’s most important cultural and artistic treasures. It provides an opportunity to explore the artistic and cultural development of the Russian people, allowing visitors to witness the uniqueness of Russian traditions, customs, attitudes, historical heritage, and the excellence of fine arts through the artworks on display. The gallery plays a significant role in helping adults, young people, and children understand and appreciate Russian art’s value and high standards.
